The Steico Group is a German company for building products made from renewable raw materials. The parent company Steico SE is based in Feldkirchen near Munich.

history

Steico SE traces its origins back to the "Gesellschaft für Bau- und Industriebedarf Steinmann & Co GmbH" founded in 1986. In 2001 the legal form was changed and the name was changed to "Steico Aktiengesellschaft". The company's shares have been traded over the counter since 2007, with Steico AG being listed in the m: access segment . In 2019, the Steico Group achieved sales of EUR 280.9 million and employed an average of 1,872 people. As an international company, the company has subsidiaries in Poland, France and Great Britain. The Steico Group's production facilities are also located in Poland and France. In 2012 the name was changed to "Steico Societas Europaea" - Steico SE. From 2016 to 2018 Steico was able to increase energy production from biomass by 79 percent and energy efficiency by 17 percent. In 2019, regular operations in the Polish production plants were completely converted to biomass .

Product range and sales distribution

The core business of the Steico Group is the manufacture and sale of wood fiber insulation materials, with which 62.6% of sales were achieved in 2019. The Steico Group produces both stable wood fiber insulation materials using the wet process and stable and flexible wood fiber insulation materials using the dry process. The Steico Group's range also includes I-joists and hardboard from our own production, as well as laminated veneer lumber . These product groups generated 26.7% of sales in 2019.

For historical reasons, the Steico Group is active in the timber trade and in the manufacture and sale of hardboard. The Steico Group achieved 2.8% of its sales in these business areas in 2019. The Steico Group achieved 7.8% of its sales in 2019 with the remaining divisions of special products (e.g. wood fiber boards for door panels) and others. The group develops, produces and sells ecological building products made from renewable raw materials.

Products include flexible wood fiber insulation materials, stable wood fiber insulation boards, wood fiber insulation boards for facade insulation (ETICS) and insulation boards with a stiffening effect. I-joists and laminated veneer lumber form the structural elements. In addition, the Steico Group produces hardboard and is active in the timber trade. The products of the Munich-based company are used in new buildings and in the renovation of roofs, walls, ceilings, floors and facades.
