Admission requirements

To be listed in the NAI, companies must meet certain minimum requirements:

Index composition and investment committee

The composition of the NAI is regularly reviewed according to established, published criteria and changed if necessary. There were six changes in 2004, one each in 2005 and 2009. In the following years 2010 and 2011 the composition was changed only once. Another change was made in 2012. 2013 saw four changes with a total of six new companies, including the Starbucks coffee house chain that was kicked out of the index for unethical tax tricks. Another change came in 2016 with the addition of Tesla Motors and Smith & Nephew to replace Solarworld and coffee company Keurig Green Mountain.
