Interface Inc. ( NASDAQ : IFSIA), based in Atlanta , USA, is a listed manufacturer of textile, modular floor coverings (carpet tiles) , elastic floor coverings (LVT) and nora® rubber floor coverings.

background

The company was founded in 1973 by Ray Anderson in LaGrange, Georgia under the name InterfaceFLOR after he recognized the need for flexible floor coverings in offices. In 1987 Interface took over the traditional Dutch company Heuga, whose carpet tiles are considered the original around the world. As a result, Interface became the global market leader in the development and manufacture of textile modular floor coverings.

Since 1994, the company has been committed to sustainable action with "Mission Zero". Interface founder Ray Anderson publicly stated that Interface will eliminate all negative effects on the environment caused by the company by the year 2020 - today they are significantly closer to that goal and sustainability is a central building block of the corporate culture at Interface. Interface is a global leader in the areas of sustainability, design and innovation and works with full commitment for a better future. In the past 25 years Interface has seen significant improvements in all key sustainability metrics both internally and across the supply chain. And the company has been able to win more partners along the way and get them excited about its goals.

With a view to 2020, the company has committed to its new sustainability program Climate Take Back ™, which aims to reverse global warming.
