The law of financial instruments (abbreviation: RdF) is a legal journal.

Target group and content

According to the magazine, its target group is specialists at credit and financial service providers as well as specialists at insurance companies and companies.

The RdF deals with legal issues relating to financing and financial instruments . Current court decisions are commented on and the legal questions dealt with in articles are provided with practical tips in order to make it easier for the reader to translate legal questions into practice.

The first edition still contained so-called standpoints, short articles on one page each, for example by Reto Francioni , the CEO of Deutsche Börse , Joachim Moritz , judge at the Federal Fiscal Court (now Of Counsel at Ernst & Young) and by Franz-Christoph Zeitler , Vice President of Deutsche Bundesbank .

Editor and editor

The editors are Thomas Gstädtner, Head of Structured Products at Deutsche Bank in London , Martin Haisch, Partner at Dechert LLP in Frankfurt (Main) and Marcus Helios, Partner in the tax department at Ernst & Young . The last two editors are authors of numerous specialist articles and books in their fields. Editing is with Martina Koster, head of business law at the magazine Betriebs-Berater and Gabriele Bourgon, head of accounting law and business administration there .

The magazine was originally published by Verlag Recht und Wirtschaft in Frankfurt am Main, which belonged to the publishing group Deutscher Fachverlag . Since the merger of the Verlag Recht und Wirtschaft with the Deutscher Fachverlag in January 2012, it has been published directly by the publisher or, from an organizational point of view, by the new area of specialized media law and economics .

The first edition was published on January 17, 2011 in an edition of 1350 copies and with a volume of 76 pages.
