history

The business consultant was published as the second German post-war establishment in the field of legal specialist newspapers (after the Süddeutsche Juristenteitung ) from June 15, 1946. One of the founding editors was Hermann Heimerich , author of the first article by Wilhelm Mattes .

In 1948, the magazine Neue Betriebswirtschaft was spun off as a separate paper on current issues in business administration ; previously, special supplements had been published in the Betriebs-Beratung (this magazine was sold in 1967). Since 1973 business issues have been discussed in the business consultant again.

The business consultant sees himself as an up-to-date and comprehensive legal advisor for the entire economy.

The magazine was published by the publishing house Recht und Wirtschaft GmbH ( Heidelberg ), which is now part of Deutscher Fachverlag GmbH (also: dfv media group) . Since January 2012 it has been published directly by the Deutscher Fachverlag. The editorial team, made up of both lawyers and business economists , is also based in Frankfurt am Main . The business consultant contains a specialist job exchange for advisory professions , in addition to which the book program of the publishing division's specialist media law and economy is presented.

A so-called “software calendar” appeared for the first time in issue 44/2008, in which special software for legal professions was presented.

Until a few years ago, the offer also included a legal job exchange .
