Reto Francioni

Reto Francioni (born August 18, 1955 in Zurich , Switzerland ) is a board member of UBS AG and UBS Group AG.

Education and professional career

Francioni studied law and received his doctorate in 1987 from the University of Zurich . He began his professional career at UBS in Zurich. He then held various management positions, including Chairman of the Board of Directors of the SIX Zurich Stock Exchange , Co-CEO and Spokesman of Consorsbank AG Nuremberg , Chairman of the Board of Management of Deutsche Börse AG , and on the Board of Directors, Corporate Finance, of Hoffmann-La Roche Basel . Among other things, he worked for Credit Suisse in New York City .

Francioni was elected to the Board of Directors of UBS AG in 2013 and to the Board of Directors of UBS Group AG in November 2014. He has been a member of the Risk Committee since 2015 and of the Compensation Committee since 2019.

Reto Francioni is married and has two grown children.

Teaching

Reto Francioni has been adjunct professor for applied financial market research at the University of Basel since 2006 . He offers a course at the Faculty of Business and Economics and participates in the supervision of master's theses, dissertations and projects.
