Horizontal bar (rope)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A stretching bar is the stretchability of a rope ( running material ) or a stage (standing material) .

For the rig one is extensibility undesirable, even with pods and traps it takes little to no stretch (prestretched rope).

For tow lines and mooring lines , more elastic cordage is used , which does not transfer jerking and tugging so hard to the cleats or bollards .
