Red Deer River is a river in the Canadian provinces of Saskatchewan and Manitoba .

It has its origins in Nut Lake in eastern Saskatchewan. From there it flows mainly in an easterly direction to Manitoba, flows through Red Deer Lake and finally flows into Dawson Bay in the northwest of Lake Winnipegosi . Its length is about 220 km, its catchment area 14,500 km², the mean discharge 23.5 m³ / s. At its mouth is the Red Deer River Provincial Park .
