Karl Wody

Karl Wody (born January 5, 1881 in Jetzelsdorf ; † May 25, 1944 in Vienna ) was an Austrian politician ( CSP ) as well as a master miller and business owner. From 1921 to 1927 he was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament .

After primary school, Wody attended a community school and subsequently took over the family business. After selling his mill, he operated a bus route between Vienna and Znojmo and was curator of the Lower Austrian State Mortgage Company from 1927 to 1932. He was politically active between 1913 and 1921 as mayor of Jetzelsdorf , and from 1922 to 1927 he was chairman of the district chamber of farmers. He represented the Christian Social Party between May 20, 1919 and May 20, 1927 in the Lower Austrian Landtag, and was a member of the Lower Austria Land Curia between November 10, 1920 and May 11, 1921 during the separation phase from Vienna and Lower Austria.
