history

The club was created in 1993 when Anse-aux-Pins FC was split into Red Star Anse-aux-Pins and St. Michel United FC . This took place at the end of a period of regionalization of football in the Seychelles between 1982 and 1993.

The club was able to win the Seychelles championship in 1998 and 2001 and played in the top division until 2007. In addition to the 2 championship titles, the club was able to win the cup four times as well as various other national competitions.

Red Star has taken part in international competitions six times so far. The club achieved its best result at the 1997 African Cup Winners' Cup when it reached the second round.
