Anse aux Pins is one of the 25 administrative districts of the Seychelles . With only 2 square kilometers and 3590 inhabitants, it is one of the small, densely populated districts on the east side of the island of Mahé . Anse aux Pins is located south of the international airport and is home to numerous companies.

Naming and history

In 1972, the Reef Hotel was built in Anse aux Pins, the first modern hotel and the first, and for a long time only, (9-hole) golf course in the country. The district is named after a bay (French: Anse) overgrown with pine-like casuarinas .

Others

A larger part of Anse aux Pins, north of the Chemin Montagne Posée road , where the Vilaz Artizanal open-air museum is located, has been assigned to the new Au Cap district . Anse aux Pins has two football clubs known throughout the country. The fish market is worth seeing. The Katiolo , one of the oldest discos in the country, is particularly popular with the locals .
