history

As early as 1217, pastor Heinrich was commissioned to carry out the early masses and vicars with his acolytes by the chief clergyman of the town church in Rudolstadt in the town of Redwitz. In the local chronicle of Kirchhasel there is a report of a rural fishing village in the former Saale floodplain. At that time, the living and production conditions on the Saale were completely different. The reclamation of the floodplain , the beginning industrialization and the subsequent expansion of the city had an impact on the flow of the river. The fishermen and farmers relocated to the neighboring towns higher up.
