Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud ( Arabic ريما بنت بندر بن سلطان آل سعود, DMG Rīmā bt. Bandar b. Sulṭān Āl Saʿūd ; * 1975 ) is a Saudi Arabian member of the Saud dynasty and a diplomat . She has been Ambassador to the United States since February 23, 2019, and the first Saudi Arabian Ambassador in history. She has been a member of the IOC since July 17, 2020.

family

Reema bint Bandar is the daughter of Bandar ibn Sultan and Haifa bint Faisal Al Saud, a daughter of King Faisal ibn Abd al-Aziz . She has four brothers and three sisters. Her brother Khalid bin Bandar bin Sultan Al Saud was ambassador to Germany from October 2017 to March 2019 and has been ambassador to Great Britain since April 2019.

She was married to Faisal bin Turki Al Saud until 2012. From the marriage the son Turki and the daughter Sarah were born.

Life

Reema lived for many years in the USA, where her father Bandar was ambassador from 1983 to 2005. She received her BA in Arts from George Washington University in 1999 .
