The Referring Peak is a striking black and over 1200 m high mountain peak in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises on the northern flank of the Mackay Glacier and around 4 km west of the mouth of the Cleveland Glacier .
Participants in the British Terra Nova Expedition (1910–1913) mapped the mountain and named it after its reference variable, which can be easily identified as a landmark .
