The Reformed Church (also common: Protestant church ) in Almens in Domleschg is an Evangelical - Reformed church under the monument of the canton of Grisons .

history

The church is unique in Graubünden in terms of its origins. After the Grison turmoil Almens was a denominational split village, the St. Andrew's Church parity used. The scheduling of the service times especially on the holidays led to constant tension. Finally, in 1694, the Chur bishop financed the Reformed church's own building. In return, they undertook to transfer the St. Andrew's Church in full to the Catholics.

Furnishing

The interior of the church with cross vaults above the nave is kept in baroque lightness and lightness. In the center of the choir is a baptismal font , which also serves as a sacrament table. Behind it is the organ, which was restored in 2009.

Church organization

The Evangelical Reformed Regional Church of Graubünden runs Almens as part of the Ausserdomleschg pastoral community within the Colloquium III Nid dem Wald . One of the two parsonages is in Almens, the other in Feldis .
