The Reformed Church of Einsiedeln is a modern Protestant church building in Einsiedeln , Canton Schwyz .

history

The reformed parish of Einsiedeln was founded as a diaspora parish in 1900. Originally, the small community used the auditorium of the village school house for worship purposes. In 1929 a church building fund was founded. Due to the lack of space during the mobilization in the Second World War , the building plans were specified in 1942. The foundation stone was laid on June 6, 1943 and the church was consecrated on December 12. The architect was Hans Vogelsanger .

The originally free-standing church is now integrated into a complex of parish hall and rectory.

Building description

The church, built with rustica stones, has an open bell tower with two bells.

The simple interior is illuminated from the east by a window front. Bible verses are appropriate in the church. In 1974 an organ was purchased. There is a small colored glass window above the pulpit .
