Malans Reformed Church

The Reformed Church in Malans is a reformed church steeped in history , which was first mentioned in the 12th century and is under the protection of monuments in the Canton of Graubünden .

History and equipment

The current building, which builds on four predecessors, dates back to 1469.

In 1526 Malans joined the Reformation under pastor Ulrich Bolt from Fläsch as one of the first Graubünden parishes . In the turmoil of Graubünden , the church had to do without bells for many years due to theft and destruction. The current bell, which includes five bells, was inaugurated in 1961.

The pneumatic organ dates from 1981.

The six epitaphs of important families, the Planta and Salis, are striking in the porch of the church .

Church organization

The Malans church is owned by the Reformed parish of Malans, which belongs to the Colloquium V Herrschaft - Fünf Dörfer within the Graubünden regional church .
