Reformed Church of San Cassiano (Vicosoprano)
The reformed church San Cassian in Vicosoprano in Bergell is an Evangelical - Reformed church under the monument of the canton of Grisons . It is under the patronage of St. Cassianus and is the older of the two Reformed village churches when it is first mentioned in a document from 1355 and the building structure dated much earlier (probably 1003 the original foundation). The main sermon church is now Santa Trinità .
Furnishing
The polygonal choir with a baptismal font made of black marble in the center and covered by a barrel vault was added in 1491 in the late Gothic period . The pulpit dates back to 1680 and thus to the time of the consolidation of political and ecclesiastical conditions after the end of the turmoil in Graubünden . During a restoration in 1954, a Toggenburg organ dating from 1811 was installed. It is richly decorated with blue floral motifs.
