Reformed media

The Reformed Media are the media company of the German-speaking Reformed Churches . The company is the publisher of bref magazine and operates the reformed Internet portal, ref.ch. In cooperation with the Sternstunde Religion of Swiss television , four to five Reformed services are produced per year, and the company is also involved in the production of the word for Sunday and radio sermons. The company also advises churches and parishes on public relations issues.

history

The “Association of Protestant Reformed Churches in German-speaking Switzerland for Church film, radio and television work”, or “FRF Association” for short , was founded in Bern in 1968 as the first institutional media organization of the German-speaking Reformed churches . In 1979 the FRF association concluded an agreement with the Swiss radio DRS and the Swiss television, which regulated the church's participation in religious programs. These "1979 Agreements" still form the basis for the activities of the radio and television commissioners of the Reformed Media.

bref, the magazine of the Reformed

The magazine was founded in 2016 and deals with topics from the areas of church, religion, culture and society. It contains reports, interviews, essays, columns and book reviews. The editorial team works according to journalistic standards and the journalistic principles of the Reformed Media.

ref.ch, the portal of the Reformed

The Reformed Media have been running the news portal of the Reformed Churches in German-speaking Switzerland since 1999. It publishes news from religion and society, especially about Reformed parishes, regional churches and aid organizations. Furthermore, ref.ch offers information on denominations, event and media tips as well as current links to the cantonal churches and the individual parishes. The portal is aimed at a broad readership who is interested in religious and social issues from a Reformed perspective.
