The 2006/07 WHL season was the 41st season of the Western Hockey League . The play-offs started on March 23, 2007 and ended with the fifth President's Cup win by the Medicine Hat Tigers on May 14, 2007, who beat the Vancouver Giants in the WHL final .

Team changes

The Chilliwack Bruins joined the Western Hockey League as a new team and were placed in the BC Division. This placed the Kootenay Ice in the Central Division of the Eastern Conference. The Swift Current Broncos moved internally to the East Division.
