Wacey Rabbit (born November 16, 1986 in Lethbridge , Alberta ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who was last under contract with HC Pustertal in the Alps Hockey League .
Career
Rabbit began his career as a youth player in the Alberta Midget Hockey League and then played for the Saskatoon Blades in the Western Hockey League for five years . In the 2004/05 season he scored a total of 67 scorer points and was selected in the NHL Entry Draft by the Boston Bruins , for which he never played. In the 2005/06 season he took over the position of team captain with the Blades. A year later he made his debut with the Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League , but could not prevail and was initially sent back to the WHL. Only in the following two years was he able to establish himself in the AHL. In 2009 he moved to the Milwaukee Admirals , but could not follow the performances of the previous seasons.
In summer 2010 Rabbit completed a short try-out with the Croatian team KHL Medveščak Zagreb , which plays in the Austrian ice hockey league, and was then signed for the 2010/11 season . In June 2011, the Canadian received a contract with HK Jesenice , but around three months later he decided to join the San Antonio Rampage in the American Hockey League.
