Kyle Moir (born May 25, 1986 in Calgary , Alberta ) is a former Canadian ice hockey goalkeeper who was most recently under contract with Eindhoven Kemphanen in the Dutch Eredivisie .

Career

Kyle Moir played for the Swift Current Broncos in the Western Hockey League from 2002 to 2007 . In the 2003/04 season he made his breakthrough in the WHL, when he became the goalkeeper of the Broncos and stood between the posts in 46 games of the regular season. During this time, he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft 2004 in the fifth round at position 139 by the Nashville Predators . In the following three seasons he vacated his position as a goalkeeper no longer; Moir achieved his statistically best season in the jersey of the Swift Current Broncos in the 2004/05 season with a catch rate of 91.6 percent. In 2007, Moir was awarded the Doug Wickenheiser Memorial Trophy for special humanitarian behavior and also won the CHL Humanitarian of the Year award .

In the 2007 calendar year, the Canadian decided to study at Lakehead University and went on the ice for their ice hockey team in Canadian Interuniversity Sport . In the ice hockey team at Lakehead University, he first formed a duo with Chris Whitley . After staying there for four seasons, the Canadian was signed by the Utah Grizzlies from the ECHL in February 2011 . A short time later he made his debut for the Grizzlies in the ECHL when Moir came to his only ECHL appearance in the 2010/11 season in the encounter against the Victoria Salmon Kings on February 25, 2011 . In June 2011 the goalkeeper signed a contract with the Dutch first division club Eindhoven Kemphanen from the Eredivisie . After the 2011/12 season, the Canadian ended his active career.
