The 2010/11 season was ECHL's 23rd regular season . The 19 teams played 72 matches each in the regular season . The team with the highest points in the regular season were the Alaska Aces , who won their second Kelly Cup in the play-offs .
Team changes
The following changes were made before the start of the season:
- The Charlotte Checkers moved to the American Hockey League , in which they compete under the same name with the previously purchased license from the Albany River Rats .
- The Johnstown Chiefs were relocated to Greenville , South Carolina and play under the name Greenville Road Warriors .
