The 1997/98 season was the tenth regular season of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL). The 25 teams completed 70 games each in the regular season . The team with the highest points in the regular season were the Louisiana IceGators , while the Hampton Roads Admirals won their third championship title in the play-offs .
