After they had initially finished the regular season in second place in the West Division, they failed in the playoffs for the Kelly Cup after victories over the Huntsville Blast and Louisville Icehawks only in the third round with 1: 3 wins in the best-of- Five series on the Raleigh IceCaps . In the following years , the team from Alabama never got beyond the second playoff round, before it was relocated to Atlantic City , New Jersey , following the 2000/01 season , where it was named Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies in the following years participated in the ECHL game operations.
