The San Francisco Bulls ( IPA : [ˌsæn fɹənˈsɪskoʊ bʊls] ) were an American ice hockey franchise of the ECHL from Daly City in the state of California . It was established on September 21, 2011. The Bulls took part in the ECHL's game operations in the Pacific Division of the Western Conference since the beginning of the 2012/13 season . The home ground was the Cow Palace . The Bulls cooperated with the San Jose Sharks from the National Hockey League and the Worcester Sharks from the American Hockey League .

The San Francisco Bulls were the first ice hockey team in the San Francisco area since the San Francisco Spiders , who played in the International Hockey League in the 1995/96 season .

The dissolution of the franchise was announced in January 2014; The reason given was the failed search for a new owner. The team withdrew from the game with immediate effect and during the current season.
