Steven Tarasuk (born November 1, 1989 in Thornhill , Ontario ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who has been playing for Brampton Beast from the ECHL since December 2014 .
Career
Tarasuk began his career in 2005/06 in the Ontario Provincial Junior A Hockey League (OPJHL) with the Markham Waxers. The year before, he only completed one game for the Milton Icehawks. In the following five seasons he was on the ice for various clubs in the Junior League Ontario Hockey League (OHL). In 2009/10 he scored 67 points in 67 games as a defender for the London Knights . At the end of the 2009/10 season he played in the play-off for the Utah Grizzlies in the ECHL . In the following season , however, he ran for the Kalamazoo Wings , with which he reached the play-off final for the Kelly Cup . For his performance this season he was elected to the All-Star Team and played in the same play-off season in the American Hockey League (AHL) for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers . With the Ontario Reign he reached the play-offs the next season , but moved during the season to the Idaho Steelheads , with whom he threw the Reigns out of the race. On June 19, 2012 Tarasuk signed a contract with the Lausitzer Füchsen from the 2nd ice hockey Bundesliga .
During the 2013-14 season, Tarasuk played for the San Francisco Bulls and Ontario Reign in the ECHL and for the Allen Americans in the Central Hockey League .
Tarasuk started the season 2014/15 when SV Kaltern from the Serie A . After a few games he returned to North America and played for the Missouri Mavericks in the ECHL. On December 9, 2014, the Mavericks sent to the Brampton Beast .
