Tyler Beskorowany (born April 28, 1990 in Sudbury , Ontario ) is a Canadian ice hockey goalkeeper who has been under contract with the EC VSV in the ICE Hockey League since August 2020 .
Career
Beskorowany began his career in the 2003/04 season with the Onaping Falls Huskies in the Junior Northern Ontario Hockey League. After two seasons he moved to the Valley East Cobras in the Great North Midget League , before he was on the ice for the Owen Sound Attack in the Ontario Hockey League from the 2007/08 season . In the summer of 2009 he moved within the league to the Kingston Frontenacs .
In the 2010/11 season , Beskorowany completed his first professional season when he was used for both the Texas Stars in the American Hockey League and for the Idaho Steelheads in the East Coast Hockey League . In the following season he was able to establish himself with the stars in the AHL and got about half of the starting appearances in goal. Despite a three-year contract with the Dallas Stars , the goalkeeper did not receive any appearances in the NHL , but was only used in the aforementioned farm teams in the AHL and ECHL. In the summer of 2013, the Canadian first moved to the ECHL team San Francisco Bulls , when they were disbanded during the season, the Canadian joined the Orlando Solar Bears within the league . After good performance, he was awarded to the St. John's IceCaps in the AHL at the end of the season .
In September 2014 Beskorowany signed with the Düsseldorfer EG from the German Ice Hockey League as a substitute for the injured goalkeeper Bobby Goepfert . After good performances in goal, his contract, which was limited to four weeks, was extended to the end of the 2014/15 season. In December 2014, the club announced that Beskorowany had signed another two-year contract, meaning that it should remain in Düsseldorf until the end of the 2016/17 season. Thanks to a release clause, he left the club in early summer 2015 to sign with the Springfield Falcons from the AHL. After Beskorowany could not recommend himself there and in the meantime was even handed over to the Norfolk Admirals farm team in the ECHL, he returned to the DEL in December 2015 and signed a contract with the Nürnberg Ice Tigers until the end of the 2015/16 season . There he played 25 games, but could not build on the excellent performance of the previous season when he was elected goalkeeper of the year of the DEL.
In the 2016/17 season Beskorowany was without a club and did not play a game. In the 2017/18 season he played for the Cornwall Nationals (FHL) and for the Edinburgh Capitals (EIHL). In the 2018/19 season Beskorowany then hired the Belfast Giants (EIHL). In the summer of 2019, he then moved to the Slovak club HC 05 Banská Bystrica and was one of the top 3 goalkeepers in the Slovak extra league. In August 2020 he was signed by the EC VSV .
