Martin Ulmer (born April 26, 1988 in Dornbirn ) is an Austrian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the EC VSV in the Erste Bank Ice Hockey League since 2019 . His brother Stefan is also a hockey player.
Career
Martin Ulmer played from the 2007/08 season at EC Red Bull Salzburg II in the national league and was used in 14 matches of the combat team. In the 2008/09 and 2009/10 seasons he was allowed to go on the ice with the Salzburg fighting team in the Erste Bank Ice Hockey League , and in 2010 he won both the Austrian championship title and the Continental Cup . In 2010 Ulmer switched to the Vienna Capitals . In May 2011 he was appointed by Lausanne HC of the National League B committed. After 51 games, he moved to HC Red Ice during the 2012/13 season . In 2013 he was signed by the NLA club EHC Biel , but only one year later he moved to the NLB at EHC Olten , where he played until 2019.
He has been under contract with the EC VSV in the Erste Bank Ice Hockey League since summer 2019 .
International
In the junior division, Ulmer took part for Austria in the U18 World Championships in 2005 and 2006 , when he was the best preparer of the tournament, as well as in the U20 World Championships in 2007 and 2008 in Division I.
On November 6, 2009 Ulmer made his debut in a 3-1 friendly game against Denmark in Babrujsk, Belarus in the Austrian men's selection . Later he took part in the qualification for the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi in 2014 and in the 2017 World Cup in Division I.

- 2006 Most assists in the U18 World Cup in Division I, Group A.
- 2010 Austrian champion and Continental Cup win with the EC Red Bull Salzburg
- 2017 Promotion to the top division at the World Championship of Division I, Group A.
