Nico Brunner (born September 17, 1992 in Villach ) is an Austrian ice hockey player who has been in the professional squad of the EC VSV since 2012 .

Nico Brunner comes from the junior division of the EC VSV and won the Austrian championship in this age group with the club's U20 team in 2011 and 2012. Admitted to the professional squad as a junior player for the 2012/13 season, but spent most of the season with the U20 juniors. Since the 2013/14 season he has been a member of the EC VSV's regular squad in the Austrian ice hockey league, switching from the striker to the defender position .

International

Brunner made his debut on November 5, 2015 in a 2-1 win after extra time against South Korea in Katowice in the Austrian national team , for which he has played five international matches so far.
