Jerry Pollastrone (born March 10, 1986 in Revere , Massachusetts ) is an American ice hockey player who has been under contract with the EC VSV in the Austrian ice hockey league since May 2018 .

Career

In his youth, Pollastrone already attracted attention at school - the Salisbury School. He dominated various internal club statistics. In the NHL Entry Draft he was never considered, even if he confirmed his talent at the University of New Hampshire again. The good skater therefore switched to the Las Vegas Wranglers in the ECHL and then to the South Carolina Stingrays after his university years .

Pollastrone then moved to Europe to the Friesland Flyers in the Dutch ice hockey league . After a first year in the Netherlands, Pollastrone moved to the EIHL , where he was able to complete the basic round in third place with the Scottish Dundee Stars . In the quarter-finals, however, was the last stop early.

His achievements in Dundee subsequently led Pollastrone to Sweden. In the second highest division, HockeyAllsvenskan , he stormed for Mora IK before HC Bozen hired him in the 2015/16 season . He played all the season games, was the second best point collector and led the South Tyroleans into the EBEL quarter-finals. After his year in Bolzano, the winger moved to the Austrian capital to the Vienna Capitals and immediately became Austrian champion.
