Sebastian Zauner (born October 4, 1994 in Berchtesgaden ) is a German - Austrian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the EC VSV in the Austrian ice hockey league since April 2020 .

Career

Sebastian Zauner comes from the junior division at EV Berchtesgaden and moved to the Red Bull Hockey Academy in neighboring Salzburg in 2010 . There he went through the U18 and U20 teams and played for them in the Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja Liga (MHL), the Erste Bank Young Stars League and the U20 Bundesliga.

In December 2014 he left the Red Bull youth organization and was hired by the Dresdner Eislöwen , with whom he developed into a full DEL2 player in the following years.

After six years in Dresden and over 300 DEL2 games for the Eislöwen, Zauner left the club in April 2020 and was signed by the EC VSV from the Austrian ice hockey league .
