history
In January 2015, the American Hockey League announced an extensive restructuring for the 2015/16 season , in the course of which a new Pacific Division was founded. As a result, all ECHL franchises based in California swapped places with their AHL cooperation partners. In the case of the Adirondack Thunder, these were the Adirondack Flames , who moved to Stockton in order to operate there as Stockton Heat . In return, the Stockton Thunder were relocated to Glens Falls and take part in the ECHL's gaming operations as Adirondack Thunder.
