The 2007/08 season was ECHL's 20th regular season . The 25 teams completed 72 games each in the regular season . The team with the highest points in the regular season were the Cincinnati Cyclones , who also won their first ever Kelly Cup in the play-offs .
Team changes
The following changes were made before the start of the season:
- The Long Beach Ice Dogs stopped playing.
- The Toledo Storm became inactive as their arena was demolished and had to be rebuilt.
- The Mississippi Sea Wolves returned to the league after two years of inactivity due to damage to their own arena from Hurricane Katrina .
- The Elmira Jackals from the United Hockey League were added to the league as an expansion team.
- The Trenton Titans changed their name to Trenton Devils.
