Olivier Latendresse (born February 12, 1986 in LaSalle , Québec ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who was last under contract with Fehérvár AV19 in the Erste Bank Ice Hockey League . His brother Guillaume is also a hockey player.

Career

Latendresse began his career with Foreurs de Val-d'Or in the Canadian junior league Ligue de hockey junior majeur du Québec , for which he called for four years. There he drew the attention of the Phoenix Coyotes who signed him. As a result, however, he could not convince and finally played for the Arizona Sundogs in the Central Hockey League , where he finally received an appointment in the 2007/08 season and completed seven games for San Antonio Rampage in the American Hockey League . He was then engaged as an unrestricted free agent by the Cincinnati Cyclones , with whom he was able to win the Kelly Cup . After the Hamilton Bulldogs brought him into the team, he was taken over into the organization of the Vancouver Canucks . There, however, he continued to play only in the farm teams and was transferred to the Calgary Flames in the 2009/10 season , where he again only received missions with the farm team Abbotsford Heat in the AHL.

In the spring of 2010, Latendresse decided to move to Europe and signed a contract with SC Bietigheim-Bissingen , for which he played for a year and was the best point player on his team. He was then signed in July 2011 by the Austrian first division club EC Graz 99ers . At the 99ers he immediately became a top performer and was even captain of the team in the 2013/14 season . After his contract was extended by one year in March 2012, he received another contract extension a year later with a term until 2015. The 2014/15 season was rather mixed for the Canadian. After being out for two weeks due to an adductor injury in October 2014, the left-handed shooter injured his shoulder in the 3-2 home win over the EC KAC after a check by Thomas Pöck in the second third and had to pause for six weeks due to the injury . After only being able to play 29 games in the 2014/15 season due to injury, Latendresse did not receive a new contract with the 99ers in April 2015.

In 2015/16 he played at EHC Linz before he was signed by the EC VSV to replace Brock McBride at the end of October 2016 .

After he had not been offered a contract extension from the VSV, he switched to Hungarian league opponent Alba Volán Székesfehérvár in May 2017 .
