The 1999/2000 season was the twelfth regular season of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL). The 28 teams completed 70 matches each in the regular season . The team with the highest points in the regular season was the Florida Everblades , while the Peoria Rivermen won their first ever Kelly Cup in the play-offs .

Team changes

The following changes were made before the start of the season:

• The Columbus Chill stopped playing.
• The Miami Matadors ceased gaming.
• The Chesapeake Icebreakers were relocated to Jackson , Mississippi , and from then on played under the name Jackson Bandits .
• The Arkansas RiverBlades were added to the league as an expansion team.
• The Greensboro Generals were added to the league as an expansion team.
• The Trenton Titans were added to the league as an expansion team.
