Jason Deleurme (born February 1, 1977 in Kelowna , British Columbia ) is a retired Canadian ice hockey player who last played for the Fort St. John Flyers in the North Peace Hockey League. In Germany he worked for the SERC Wild Wings , the EC Bad Nauheim and the Dresdner Eislöwen , among others .

Career

Jason Deleurme began his career with the Tacoma Rockets in the Western Hockey League , one of the three junior leagues of the Canadian CHL . In 1995 the Rockets moved to Deleurme's hometown and have been called Kelowna Rockets since then . Deleurme was able to improve his points yield from season to season and in his last junior year he scored 51 goals and 52 assists in 72 games of the season . After five years in the WHL, he went to the University of British Columbia in 1998 , but also got a professional contract with Hampton Roads Admirals from the East Coast Hockey League . In the following season he played both in the game operation of the CIAU , as well as in the ECHL for the Peoria Rivermen . With the Rivermen he reached the playoff final for the Kelly Cup and won it 4-2 against the Louisiana IceGators . Deleurme was also the eighth best scorer in the ECHL playoffs with 20 points.

He started the 2000/01 season with the Idaho Steelheads in the WCHL , before moving to Europe to the SERC Wild Wings in the DEL . After two years in Schwenningen, Deleurme moved to EC Bad Nauheim in the second division in 2002 , where he became a crowd favorite and top scorer alongside Trevor Gallant . In the 2003/04 season he reached the playoff semi-finals with Nauheim, but the EC withdrew from the Bundesliga after the end of the season. Therefore, Deleurme moved to Sweden to the Malmö Redhawks in the Elitserien , but left them a short time later and went to Skövde IK in the HockeyAllsvenskan . Just a year after leaving Germany, he returned and signed a contract with ESC Mosquitos Essen . In the 2005/06 season he was behind Éric Houde the second best scorer of the mosquitoes and was able to prevent the club's relegation in the play-downs. In summer 2006 he returned to the SERC and formed the Wild Wings parade series with Dušan Frosch and Dustin Whitecotton .

A year later there were several attempts to bring Deleurme back to Bad Nauheim, including a fan fundraising campaign. Ultimately, just before the start of the season, Deleurme could be committed and he became the most dangerous player on the team. In December 2007, however, Deleurme announced his departure and a few days later the Eislöwen signed him. Jan Tábor , manager of the Eislöwen, said of him: “Jason is an excellent skater and a combative type ... he will fit us well in human terms and is also a right-handed shooter that we haven't had enough of so far. Jason opens up several options for us, intensifies the competition and brings us further on the way to promotion. ”With the Eislöwen he made it to the 2nd Bundesliga and reached the league championship in 2007/08. The second division 2008/09 season he also spent in Dresden, but then got no contract offer.

In September 2009 he was signed by the Victoria Salmon Kings , but was dropped from the squad before the start of the season. In October 2009 he was signed by the Colorado Eagles of the Central Hockey League , where he met Jason Lundmark , with whom he had already played with the Ice Lions.

After four games for the Eagles, he moved within the league to Wichita Thunder , where he graduated from eighteen during the 2009/10 season . In the same season he also went to the Swedish third division club Visby Roma Hockey on the ice, before he returned to North America before the end of the season and joined the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs , with whom he played in the Central Hockey League. For the 2010/11 season Deleurme moved to the Bloomington PrairieThunder . In the 2011/12 season, the Canadian was briefly on the ice for Fort St. John Flyers from the North Peace Hockey League before ending his career. He then moved to Kelowna with his family .
