Dov Patrick Grumet-Morris (born February 28, 1982 in Evanston , Illinois ) is an American ice hockey goalkeeper who was last under contract with the Hartford Wolf Pack in the American Hockey League .

Career

Grumet-Morris began his career with the Danville Wings in the American North American Hockey League and moved to the 2001/02 season for the Harvard University ice hockey team . There he remained active for four years. In the following years he was drawn in the NHL Entry Draft 2002 in the fifth round as a total of 161 players by the Philadelphia Flyers .

With the Laredo Bucks he was Central Hockey League champion in the 2005/06 season . In the following season he was appointed by the American Hockey League teams Portland Pirates , Hamilton Bulldogs and Manitoba Moose to several missions, but played between 2006 and 2008 mainly for the Cincinnati Cyclones in the ECHL . On July 2, 2007, he signed a contract with the Nashville Predators , but did not get any appearances in the National Hockey League and completed most of the season with the Cincinnati Cyclones and the Milwaukee Admirals .

In the summer of 2008 the goalkeeper dared to make the leap to Europe and was signed by the Austrian first division club Graz 99ers , where he performed well after a subdued start. Nevertheless, towards the end of the main round, Sébastien Charpentier was signed as the second goalkeeper. With Grumet-Morris in goal, the 99ers scored their first play-off win in club history, but were eliminated - with Charpentier in goal - in the quarter-finals against Vienna Capitals . The team did not renew the contract with Grumet-Morris after the season, and after initially not finding a club, he succeeded the prematurely dismissed Boris Tortunow at HK Jesenice after the start of the season . In September 2010, Grumet-Morris signed with the Greenville Road Warriors in the ECHL .

In 2011 he returned to Europe and signed a contract with Lørenskog IK in the Norwegian GET-ligaen . After 14 appearances, he turned his back on the Norwegian league in the same season and moved to the San Antonio Rampage in the American Hockey League in November 2011 . There he completed two seasons as a regular goalkeeper before he was transferred to league rivals Hartford Wolf Pack in December 2013 .
