Andy Bohmbach (born February 25, 1987 in Hudson , Wisconsin ) is an American ice hockey player who has played in the position of striker at the Dornbirner EC in the EBEL since 2014 .

Career

Bohmbach began his career with the Waterloo Black Hawks in the USHL and after two years moved to the University of Wisconsin team from the NCAA . In his last year at the University of Wisconsin he was able to celebrate the runner-up with his team in the 2009/10 season. For the 2010/11 season Bohmbach moved to the ECHL to the Toledo Walleye . Due to his strong performance in the ECHL team, he was allowed to lace his skates for six games in the same season for the Chicago Blackhawks ' farm team , the Rockford IceHogs from the AHL . In the following season 2011/12 Bohmbach moved to league competitor Trenton Titans from the ECHL. Here, too, he was able to convince and received ten appearances in the AHL with the Adirondack Phantoms , the farm team of the Philadelphia Flyers . In the 2012/13 season he remained loyal to the Trenton Titans and was able to achieve 48 points in 50 games. He was also used this season for one game at the Worcester Sharks and four games at the Abbotsford Heat in the AHL.

In June 2013, SC Riessersee signed the DEL2 Bohmbachs for one year. After only one season at SC Riessersee, Bohmbach moved to Dornbirner EC in the Austrian Erste Bank Ice Hockey League .
