The Adirondack Phantoms were an American ice hockey franchise based in Glens Falls , New York . You played in the American Hockey League from 2009 to 2014 .

history

The Adirondack Phantoms are the new AHL farm team of the Philadelphia Flyers from the National Hockey League , after the collaboration with their previous farm team, the Philadelphia Phantoms , after the 2008/09 season due to the demolition of the Wachovia Spectrum , in which the Philadelphia Phantoms their AHL games had played had to end.

On February 4, 2009 it was announced that Comcast Spectator, the previous owner of the Philadelphia Phantoms, would sell the franchise to "The Brooks Group" from Pittsburgh . On April 28, 2009, the AHL Board of Governors approved the Brooks Group's motion to relocate the franchise to Glens Falls , New York . There it is only the second AHL franchise after the Adirondack Red Wings , who played in the city from 1979 to 1999.

With the beginning of the 2014/15 season , the franchise relocated to Allentown , Pennsylvania and began operating as Lehigh Valley Phantoms .
