The Hamilton Canucks were a Canadian ice hockey franchise of the American Hockey League from Hamilton , Ontario . The Canucks' venue was the Copps Coliseum .

history

The Hamilton Canucks were in 1992 as American Hockey League - the farm team of the Vancouver Canucks founded. In the first season of the franchise it was not enough to participate in the playoffs and with 64 points after the regular season, the newly founded team was 6th in its division. In the second and last season that the Hamilton Canucks contested in the AHL, they reached the playoffs as second in their division, in which they, however, already in the first round in a best-of-seven series with 0: 4 the Cornwall Aces documents.

In the summer of 1994, the franchise was relocated to Syracuse , New York , where it has since been active in the AHL under the name Syracuse Crunch . With the Hamilton Bulldogs , a new AHL franchise was established in the city in 1996.
