Regan Lauscher (born February 21, 1980 in Saskatoon , Saskatchewan ) is a Canadian luge athlete .

Regan Lauscher is the most successful female luge that Canada has ever produced. She started sledding in 1994 and has been a member of the Canadian national team since 1998. The student was at her second World Championships in 2001 in the individual competition 15th and seventh with the Canadian team. In 2002 she appeared in Salt Lake City for the first time at the Olympic Games and finished 12th. In the Luge World Cup 2002/03 , she finished tenth in the overall World Cup. At the World Championships in Sigulda , Lauscher was 14th in the individual and eighth with the team. She achieved the same placings at the World Championships in Nagano the following year , only improving by one place in the team competition.

The 2004/05 season was particularly successful for Lauscher . She was eighth in the overall World Cup. At the race in Lake Placid she finished second behind Barbara Niedernhuber and thus achieved the best result for a Canadian luge woman until Alex Gough was able to win a race for the first time in 2011 . In the Rodel Challenge Cup , she was able to achieve fourth place. At the Luge World Championships in 2005 , Lauscher finished ninth in the individual and sixth with the team. In the following season she again reached fourth place in the Rodel Challenge Cup . At the high point of the season, the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin, Lauscher finished in tenth place. Four years later she was 15th, although the Canadian team had started at the home games with greater ambitions.
