Regina Wollmann

Regina Wollmann OCist (born January 19, 1941 in Sagan , Silesia ) is a Roman Catholic nun . She was abbess of the St. Marienthal monastery .

Life

Regina Wollmann joined the order of the Cistercian Sisters in 1960 . She celebrated her profession on June 17, 1961. She was for many years director of the home for the disabled “St. Josef ”and the monastery in Schlegel .

On July 12, 1993, she was elected to succeed Pia Walter as the 55th abbess of the Cistercian convent of St. Marienthal in Upper Lusatia . On August 21, 1993 she received by Ferenc Polikárp Zakar the benediction , commonly known as "Äbtissinnenweihe". Her motto is: Obsculta - listen! At the age of 75, she resigned as abbess in 2016. Your successor is Elisabeth Vaterodt.

On May 31, 2010, their Prime Minister Stanislaw Tillich awarded the Saxon Order of Merit for their commitment.
