Reginald Walter Maudslay

Reginald Walter Maudslay (born September 1, 1871 in Paddington , London, † December 14, 1934 in Marylebone , London ) was a British car designer and founder of the Standard Motor Company .

Maudslay was the son of Athol Edward Maudslay and his wife Kate. He attended St David's School in Moffat, Scotland and Marlborough College .

In 1903 he founded the Standard Motor Company in Coventry . In 1914 the company went public. He left the company in 1934 and died a little later after a brief illness. He was married and had three children.
