The Regine Hildebrandt School is a primary school in the Sachsendorf district of the Brandenburg city ​​of Cottbus .

history

The school was founded in 1981 as a polytechnic high school, and after the school reform in 1992 as “2. Elementary School ”. The name was changed to " Regine-Hildebrandt -Schule" in 2004. Since 1994 pupils with reading and spelling disorders have also been studying there . In 1996 there were first partnership agreements with other European schools, which is why the school was named European School in 1999 . In 2001 the expansion into an all-day school began . A year later the school got its own library. Since students in grades 1 to 6 have been working on topics relating to regenerative energy generation since 2001, she was awarded the title of environmental school . Thanks to numerous renovation and refurbishment measures, the school became the national winner in the “Energy Saving Master” competition in 2010.
