Regine Schulz

Regine Schulz (born December 26, 1953 in Berlin ) is a German Egyptologist .

Regine Schulz studied Egyptology, Near Eastern archeology , art history and journalism at the Free University of Berlin (Magister 1978) and since 1979 at the University of Munich (PhD 1985). From 1985 to 1995 she was an assistant at the University of Munich, where she did her doctorate with Dietrich Wildung and also received her habilitation in 1995. In 2001 she was appointed adjunct professor. In 2001 she went to the Walters Art Museum in Baltimore as curator of the Antikensammlung . Since 2004 she has also taught Egyptology at Johns Hopkins University , most recently as adjunct professor . Since October 1st 2011 she has been director of the Roemer and Pelizaeus Museum in Hildesheim . Regine Schulz was married to the Egyptologist Matthias Seidel .
