Reglindis is a cultivar of the cultivated apple ( Malus domestica ).
description
Reglindis is yellow with a red body color. The skin is supple and greasy when fully ripe. The flesh is juicy. The taste is delicately sweet and sour and balanced.
Cultivation
Reglindis is well resistant to frost in winter and also to late frost.
The apple is ripe for picking in September and ripe for consumption by November.
Reglindis is one of the so-called re-varieties that have been bred in Pillnitz, and by special Re consistency stand out. This particularly relates to resistance to powdery mildew , these varieties can be susceptible to other diseases. Reglindis is somewhat prone to powdery mildew and fire blight .
history
Reglindis was created in the GDR at the Institute for Plant Breeding in Dresden-Pillnitz as a cross between James Grieve and a variety specially bred for breeding.
