Rehden-Hamburg gas pipeline

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Rehden-Hamburg-Gasleitung (RHG) is a pipeline in Germany

The RHG runs from the Rehden gas storage facility and the MIDAL pipeline there 132 km in a north-easterly direction in order to supply the Hamburg area with natural gas. The pipeline was built in 1994 by Wingas and E.ON Hanse and has a diameter of DN 800.

It is linked near Hamburg with the Northern European Natural Gas Pipeline (NEL) and MIDAL Süd and Nord as well as Erdgas Münster, which connects it with the Nord Stream natural gas pipeline that flows into Lubmin (Western Pomerania) . The largest GASCADE pipeline junction with a compressor station is located at this point and the gas can be directed in all directions. The pressure is 90 bar and is generated by two compressors.
