Reifberg is a district of the municipality of Frauenau in the Lower Bavarian district of Regen .
location
The village of Reifberg is located about one kilometer southwest of Frauenau, somewhat scattered on the northeast slope of the Hollerriegel at an altitude of 700 to 800 meters.
history
In 1808, Reifberg was mentioned as part of the Lindberg tax district , and in 1813 as part of the planned but not realized rural community of Flanitz . The place then came in 1821 to the community of Unterfrauenau, which was later renamed Frauenau.
Attractions
- Village chapel. The chapel was built in 1854 by the then mayor Mauerer and rebuilt in the 1970s by the Bavarian Forest Association due to road construction.
