Reiner Holzemer (born 1958 in Gemünden) is a German director, producer and cameraman.

Life

Reiner Holzemer completed a degree in theater studies, sociology and education. Subsequently, founding and building up a group of independent filmmakers. Self-taught as a writer, director, cameraman and editor of documentaries. 1983 Foundation of Reiner Holzemer Filmproduktion. To date, more than 35 documentaries have been made, mainly artist portraits of William Eggleston , Juergen Teller , August Sander , Walker Evans , René Burri , Robert Lebeck , Thomas Höpker , Magnum Photos , Anton Corbijn , Dries Van Noten and Martin Margiela .

Since 2002 appointed member of the German Society for Photography ev (DGPh).
